It is the best of both worlds — this year’s vendor lineup features many of your favorites from last season, PLUS several exciting new farms and faces.
A farmers market is about FARMERS, so we are glad to include Markristo, Hawk Dance, Earthborn Garden, Yonderview, Common Hands and Honey Dog, each bringing a wide variety of vegetables throughout the season.
With more specialized farm products, we have Tiny Hearts (flowers), Mettabee (starts and wool), Woven Stars (formerly named Lightforce – starts and mushrooms), White Oak (corn), Little Apple with heirloom apples and hard cider, and Fix Bros. Fruit Farm with cherries, peaches and apples.
The cheese lovers will be delighted this season to find many sources and varieties: Chaseholm, sold by Jacuterie, Lime Kiln (goat cheese and more), Farmer’s Door (collection of cheeses from 10 farms), and Cheval (goat cheese and more).
Meat is well represented with Graylight Farm’s pork and beef, Lime Kiln’s lamb and pork, Yellow Bell with poultry in many forms, and Jacuterie with their own sausages and charcuterie.
Fans of breads and baked goods will not be disappointed: Berkshire Mountain Bakery returns (oooh, those chocolate croissants), Simmons Sugarworks brings maple-sweetened scones, and Philmont Community Bakery will bring their dense, delicious breads and assorted baked goods.
Topping off this amazing grocery cart, you will find many specialty vendors to complete your list: prepared food from Ellen’s Country Kitchen, maple syrup from Simmons, roasted pumpkin seeds and smoked salt from Taconic Trading, unique jellies and preserves from les collines, libations from Hudson-Chatham Winery and From The Ground Brewery, and pesto from Corona d’Oro.
You have to take care of your body as well as your appetite, so Asia Luna and Simple Soap will meet those needs with carefully crafted, high quality body products.
To enjoy this goodness in person, visit us in the covered barn in Roe Jan Park, 8140 State Route 22 in Hillsdale. We launch our season on Saturday May 27 and continue straight until Halloween.
