The Roeliff Jansen Community Library is pleased to offer Farm Market Kids at the Copake Hillsdale Farmers Market again this season!

Every Saturday (from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend) from 10 AM to 12 PM, children and families can visit Roe Jan Library’s Farm Market Kids to hear themed stories and participate in art activities. Families can also learn about the many children’s offerings for the season at the library throughout the week and sign up to join the Summer Reading Program: Ocean of Possibilities.

Introducing….  Power of Produce!

The Power of Produce (POP) Club provides a fun opportunity for children to engage in the local food system through conversations directly with farmers, educational games and demonstrations, and exposure to new fruits and vegetables. In addition to participating in educational activities, POP Club kids receive our Market Bucks to spend at the market, allowing them to make their own shopping decisions at the market.
The Power of Produce Club is a farmers market incentive program for children that originated at Oregon City Farmers Market in Oregon City, Oregon, in 2011. The program has been put into practice at thousands of farmers markets throughout the nation.  Read more HERE.
